...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN BOX BUTTE AND
NORTHEASTERN MORRILL COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 542 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles east of Angora, or 16 miles south of Alliance, moving northeast
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Alliance, Angora, and Alliance Municipal Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES
430, 431, 432, 433, 434, 435, 436, AND 437...

* WIND...West to southwest winds 15 to 35 MPH with gusts up to
50 MPH.

* HUMIDITY...8 to 12 percent. Overnight recoveries as low as 35
percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dry lightning will be possible on
Tuesday with isolated storms during the afternoon and evening
hours.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing.

* WHERE...A portion of panhandle Nebraska, including the following
counties, Box Butte, Morrill and Scotts Bluff.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1122 AM MDT, Emergency management reported flooding in the
warned area.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bayard, Angora and Moomaw Corner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
