Additionally, overnight lows may reside in the mid to upper 70s at times, reducing ability to recover from daytime heat. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Kansas and central, north central, and west central Missouri. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
