...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...District of Columbia.

* WHEN...Until 700 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 249 AM EDT, water levels on Rock Creek remain elevated due
to heavy rainfall yesterday. Several roads are still closed
around Rock Creek.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Chevy Chase...                     Silver Spring...
National Zoo...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
