          Maximum temperatures in the low to high thirties with overnight minimum temperatures in the high teens to mid twenties. 

Severe heatwave conditions have eased over the Gulf Country and Herbert and Lower Burdekin districts, and are expected to contract northwards to the Cape York Peninsula by mid week as a milder southerly change extends northwards over the remainder of the state.  Locations likely to be impacted include Aurukun, Hope Vale and Weipa.
