Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 10:49 PM PST Dec. 16, 2018 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Hanford CA has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southwestern Mariposa County in central California...
southwestern Madera County in central California...
Kings County in central California...
Merced County in central California...
southwestern Fresno County in central California...

* until 145 am PST.

* At 1044 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated rain, moderate to heavy at
times, that will cause minor urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Heaviest rain was over Merced, western Fresno
and western Madera counties. The rain will move south and east
over the next few hours.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
