... Flood Warning now expected to end Tuesday February 28... the Flood
Warning continues for
the Chippewa river at Durand.
* From Thursday afternoon to Tuesday February 28.
* At 7:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 8.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Thursday afternoon and
continue to rise to near 14.7 feet by early Saturday morning.The
river will fall below flood stage by Monday evening.
* Impact... at 13.0 feet... the basements of businesses along the river
begin to flood.
* Impact... at 12.5 feet... River Street in downtown Durand begins to
flood.
