Special Weather Statement issued by Environment.  01:03 AM EDT Monday 24 April 2017.
A significant late season snowfall event is appearing more likely for tonight and into Tuesday.

Snow is expected to develop late this afternoon or early evening and become heavy at times tonight. Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 cm are likely by the time the snow tapers off Tuesday afternoon. Gusty northeast winds to 50 km/h will produce some blowing snow as well.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
