capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess
of 60 mph. This storm was located over Drexel-alvernon... or near
Tucson... and moving northeast at 15 mph.

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 745 PM MST

* at 538 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding
over mainly east and southeastern portions of the Tucson Metro.

* Some automated rain gauges on the south side of the Metro have
reported amounts of over a half inch in about 30 minutes. The
moderate to heavy rain will spread northeast over east and
southeast parts of the city and will cause typical flooding in
spots that are normally prone to flooding. Motorists should
therefore drive with caution.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

heavy rain due to thunderstorms that covered eastern portions of
Santa Cruz County... extreme southeast Pima County and a large part
of western Cochise County. This will cause Urban and Small Stream
flooding. Radar rainfall estimates indicate that up to 1.5 to 2
inches of rain will be possible with the stronger storms.
