east central Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 645 PM MST

* at 542 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm
capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess
of 60 mph. This storm was located near east Sahuarita... or 12
miles northeast of Green Valley... and moving west southwest at 10
to 15 mph.

* Locations impacted include...
Green Valley... Sahuarita... east Sahuarita... Summit and Corona de
Tucson.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds... large hail... deadly
lightning and very heavy rain. For your protection... seek shelter now
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. Heavy rains
flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water covers the

Tanque Verde... or 20 miles northeast of Tucson... and moving west
at 15 mph.

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
southeastern Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...
northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 730 PM MST

* at 528 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated severe thunderstorms with
very heavy rainfall rates generally to the east and south of
Tucson. Rainfall amounts of 0.75 and 1.25 inches will be
possible... with localized heavier amounts with the strongest
storms. This will result in running water in roadway
dips... normally dry washes and significant ponding of water in
low-lying areas.

... Blowing dust advisory remains in effect until 8 PM MST this
evening...

* impacts... thunderstorms are developing across southern Arizona as
forecast with the expectation that strong outflows will result in
significant blowing dust across the advisory area. Blowing dust can
restrict visibilities below a mile posing a significant hazard to
motorists. In addition... strong and gusty winds will likely suspend
dust into the air that people and animals breathe. Individuals with
heart disease and respiratory sensitivities may want to reduce
their level of exertion to limit the dust they breathe into their
lungs.

* Timing... through 8 PM this evening.

* Winds... easterly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 55
mph.

* Visibility... widespread areas of less than 1 mile with
localized areas of near zero visibility possible.
