... High surf advisory in effect from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf
advisory... which is in effect from noon Tuesday to noon Wednesday.

* Surf... along north and west facing shores of Niihau Kauai Oahu
and Molokai rising to 10 to 15 feet by Tuesday afternoon and to
15 to 20 feet by Tuesday night. Along west facing shores of Oahu
and Molokai rising to 8 to 12 feet by Tuesday afternoon and to
10 to 15 feet by Tuesday night.

* Timing... noon Tuesday through noon Wednesday.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves... shore
break... and strong currents making swimming dangerous.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise
caution. Be prepared for water splashing onto coastal roads along
the east facing shores.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 25 to 33 knots
and/or seas 10 feet or greater are expected to produce conditions
hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners... especially
those operating smaller vessels... should avoid navigating in
these conditions.
