... Dense fog advisory now in effect until noon EST today...

* locations... the Piedmont and foothills of Virginia and North
Carolina, the Roanoke, southern Shenandoah, and New River
valleys of Virginia, and the Greenbrier valley of West
Virginia.

* Hazards... areas of dense fog.

* Timing... between now and 12:00 PM.

* Impacts... widespread visibility less than 1/2 mile with
occasional visibility of 1/4 mile or less. This will make for
travel difficulties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your low beam headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead
of you.
