... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10 am EST this
morning...

* locations... southern Vermont and the Berkshires.

* Hazard types... freezing rain... snow and sleet.

* Total snow and sleet accumulations... up to 1 inch across the
lower elevations in the Berkshires... with 2 to 6 inches across
higher elevations of the Berkshires and southern Green
Mountains... as well as across eastern Windham County Vermont.

* Total ice accumulations... up to a tenth of an inch with up to
a quarter of an inch possible across higher elevations.

* Timing... freezing rain... sleet and snow will taper off this
morning... ending as some patchy light snow showers... drizzle
or freezing drizzle.

* Impacts... snow and ice covered roadways will make for
hazardous travel. Untreated walkways... driveways and sidewalks
will be very slippery.

* Winds... east 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower to middle 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
