... Flood Watch remains in effect from Friday afternoon through
Saturday evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* the southern Seward Peninsula coast.

* From Friday afternoon through Saturday evening

* heavy rainfall is forecast for the area beginning Friday
morning and extending through early Saturday morning. Forecast
rainfall amounts are between 1 and 2 inches with the
possibility of locally heavier amounts.

* Rapid rises will occur on the small streams and rivers
draining the kigluaik and bendeleben mountains. Small streams
and rivers will rise to bankfull or overbank Friday afternoon
into Saturday morning followed by significant rises on the
larger rivers. Minor flooding in possible in low lying areas
in this region.
