... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 7 am Monday to 7 am
akdt Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow which is in effect from 7 am
Monday to 7 am akdt Tuesday.


* Location... mainly over summits and higher terrain.

* Blowing snow... visibility below one half mile at times.

* Wind... northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph.

* Timing... winds will increase Monday morning and become strongest
by late Monday afternoon and then persist through Monday night.

* Impacts... visibility will be greatly reduced and snow will
accumulate into drifts. Whiteout conditions may occur. Travel
and outdoor activities will be difficult.
