... Flood Warning now in effect until Thursday evening...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Methow river near Pateros.
* Until Thursday evening.
* At 4:15 am Wednesday the stage was 9.59 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.00 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage later
this morning and continue to rise to near 10.2 feet by late this
afternoon. The river is forecast to fall below flood stage by
Thursday late morning.

* at 10.0 feet... minor flooding of adjacent roads and low-lying areas
is likely throughout the Methow Valley from Mazama to Pateros.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Okanogan river near Tonasket.
* Until further notice.
* At 4:15 am Wednesday the stage was 15.61 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.00 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river is expected to continue to rise to near 17.3
feet by Friday afternoon ... then begin falling but remain above flooded
stage into next week.

* at 17.5 feet... water will be behind the levee due to seepage,
flooding the motocross track downstream of the city of Okanogan.
* At 17.0 feet... low lying fields and pasture land in the flood plain
along the Okanogan River Valley, from Oroville to Okanogan, will be
flooded. Some homes near the river in Okanogan may experience some
basement flooding from seepage. Water will be between the Railroad
and Highway 97 near Cordell, south of Oroville. Water will be
against The Shoulder of Omak River Road across from wanacut creek.
* At 16.0 feet... pasture land between Rodeo track Road and Benton
street, on the east side of the river near Omak, will begin to
flood.
* At 15.0 feet... minor flooding of low-lying areas is likely between
Oroville and Tonasket.





1054 am PDT Tue may 23 2017

... A Flood Warning for small streams for snowmelt remains in effect
until 645 am PDT Wednesday for northwestern Okanogan County...

At 1050 am PDT, emergency management confirmed that flooding
continues over the bridge and in Conconully along Salmon Creek. Warm
temperatutes and rapid snowmelt will continue the flooding. The
creek is expected to to remain near bankfull and rise again this
afternoon and evening.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Conconully and Alder campground.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
