Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 2:18 PM PST Dec. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning has been replaced by a Winter Weather
Advisory for the north Oregon coast and South Washington coast...
in effect until 8 PM PST this evening...

The National Weather Service in Portland has replaced the Winter
Storm Warning with a Winter Weather Advisory... which is in effect
until 8 PM PST this evening.

* Timing... areas of snow... sleet... and freezing rain will continue
into this evening... especially near the Columbia River and
inland from the immediate beach areas.

* Snow accumulations... generally one inch or less... primarily
Astoria northward.

* Ice accumulations... up to one tenth of an inch of ice...
especially in valleys inland from the immediate beach areas.

* Impacts... areas near the Columbia River and inland more than a
couple miles will be affected the most. Some refreezing of water
on roads is possible this evening... especially inland... before
temperatures warm well above freezing later tonight. Travel
will be difficult in areas as roads become icy. Some power
disruptions are possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
