Winter Storm Watch
Issued: 3:00 PM MST Jan. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Sunday evening through late
Monday night above 6000 feet...

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Winter
Storm Watch... which is in effect from Sunday evening through late
Monday night.

* Timing... snow will spread from west to east Sunday afternoon and
evening... continuing through late Monday night.

* General event total snow accumulations... 6 to 12 inches for
areas above 6000 feet elevation. Higher amounts possible along
southwest facing slopes of the Mogollon Rim and the Kaibab
Plateau. Consult point specific forecast at:
weather.Gov/Flagstaff.

* Other impacts... dangerous travel conditions are possible due to
snowpacked and slick roads. Visibility could also be severely
reduced due to blowing and drifting snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow and or ice accumulations and strong winds. These conditions
may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
