Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 11:47 AM CST Feb. 24, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* snow accumulation... little additional accumulation is expected
for much of the area, though locations near the state line and
the Highway 81 corridor could pick up an additional half inch to
1 inch.

* Timing... light to moderate snow will continue to taper off this
afternoon.

* Winds... north to northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around
35 mph.

* Visibility... the combination of snow and gusty winds will result
in visibilities dropping down to near one half of a mile at
times, especially in open areas.

* Impacts... travel will become dangerous as roads will be snow-
covered and slick. Falling and blowing snow will reduce
visibilities.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
periods of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities... and use caution while driving.
