Issued: 10:49 AM MST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 am MST Tuesday...

* locations... Choteau, Stanford, Lewistown, Lewistown Divide,
Great Falls, Kings Hill Pass, Big Sandy, and Fort Benton.

* Timing... light snow will continue through early Tuesday morning
then diminish to snow showers or flurries.

* Snow accumulations... an additional 1 to 2 inches.

* Impacts... roadways will be snow covered and slick with
visibility reduced to less than a mile at times. In
addition... black ice may be concealed beneath the snow on some
Road surfaces where dense fog was observed over the past 24
hours. Road surfaces in these areas could be particularly
treacherous... including bridges and overpasses.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
