Special Statement
Issued: 12:23 AM EST Jan. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Ponding of water possible on roadways and other poor drainage
areas overnight...

1 to 2 inches of rain have already fallen across the area, with
some localized higher amounts. Rainfall will continue overnight,
with some locations seeing 1 to 2 inch per hour rainfall rates.
This may cause some drainage issues on roadways and low lying
areas.

If you are traveling overnight, allow yourself extra time to reach
your destination. It is especially difficult at night to recognize
the dangers of flooding. To avoid hydroplaning, be vigilant and
ready to adjust speeds if you encounter water on the roadway.
Additionally, do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.
