... Coastal flood advisory in effect from 9 PM this evening to
midnight EDT tonight...

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a coastal
flood advisory... which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to
midnight EDT tonight.

* Location... low-lying coastal areas of southeast South Carolina
including downtown Charleston.

* Tide levels... peaking between 7.3 and 7.6 feet mean lower low
water.

* Timing... high tide will occur around 11 PM at Charleston Harbor.
Shallow saltwater flooding will be possible 1 to 2 hours before
and after high tide.

* Impacts... inundation of saltwater in and near low-lying coastal
areas could result in some Road closures and flooding of
properties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for the possibility of impassable roads and minor
flooding of properties. If travel is necessary... do not attempt
to drive through water of unknown depth.
