Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:00 AM EST Jan. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 am EST this morning...

The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued
a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 10 am EST this
morning.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Timing... through mid morning.

* Impacts... dense fog will plague eastern North Carolina through
this morning. Coastal areas will be susceptible to the fog as
well and create hazardous conditions for boaters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
