Franklin and southern Granville counties until 1215 am EDT...

At 1128 PM EDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Siler City to near
Goldston to Carthage. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Heavy rain and minor flooding will also be possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh... Durham... Cary... Chapel HIll... Oxford... Creedmoor...
Wake Forest... Garner... Carrboro and Fuquay-Varina.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Locally heavy rain will quickly reduce visibility and result in
