... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 PM this
afternoon to noon EST Monday...

* locations... Mohawk Valley... eastern Catskills and Schoharie
valley... the greater capital region... the Lake George Saratoga
region... and northern Taconics.

* Hazard types... snow with some sleet mixing in south of the
capital district.

* Snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches in the capital
district... Mohawk Valley... eastern Greene and eastern Ulster
counties with 4 to 8 inches over the eastern
Catskills... helderbergs... Lake George northern Saratoga region and
the Schoharie valley. The higher totals will be at elevations
greater than 1500 feet.

* Timing... light snow will overspread the region during this
afternoon. Steadier snow... some moderate in intensity... will
develop tonight and continue through daybreak Monday. The snow
may mix with or change to rain and sleet after daybreak Monday
morning for areas south of Interstate 90.

* Impacts... snow covered roadways and reduced visibilities due
to falling snow.

* Winds... south 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... in the mid 20s to lower 30s.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and sleet means that periods
of snow and sleet will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be
prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use
caution while driving.
