Special Weather Statement issued by Environment.  04:29 PM CST Tuesday 23 May 2017.
Rain and strong winds will affect portions of Saskatchewan starting on Wednesday and continuing into Friday. 

A strong low pressure system is forecast to move into western portions of Saskatchewan Wednesday morning. The heaviest rains are expected to be in the Meadow Lake, Ile a la Crosse towards southern portions of the Cree Lake region bringing 30 to 50 mm of rain. Local thunderstorms could potentially potentially give an excess of 70 mm over the two day period. 

Strong winds are also associated with the system with southerly winds gusting to 80 to 90 km/h on Wednesday shifting to northwesterly on Thursday.
