... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 PM this afternoon to
6 PM CST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 3 PM this
afternoon to 6 PM CST Sunday. The Winter Weather Advisory is no
longer in effect.

* Timing... snow will begin during the afternoon and continue through
Sunday.

* Snow accumulations... 6 to 10 inches.

* Wind... southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Visibilities... less than a mile and frequently below 1/2 mile in
heavier snow.

* Temperatures... in the mid to upper 20s.

* Impacts... moderate to heavy snowfall will create hazardous travel
conditions over the area... and will reduce visibility to under 1
mile at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and
water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
