... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from 3 PM this afternoon
to 9 am akst Tuesday...

* location... Klondike Highway near White Pass.

* Wind chill values... cold temperatures near -10 degrees along
with north winds of 20 to 30 mph will produce wind chill
values between -30 and -40 degrees.

* Timing... Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning.

* Impacts... there will be a risk of frostbite and hypothermia if
precautions are not taken. Persons should wear warm protective
clothing if they must venture outside for extended periods of
time.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An advisory means dangerous wind chill temperatures are already
occurring or imminent.

Exposed skin in the advisory area will become frostbitten in
30 minutes.

This statement will be updated by 8 PM akst Sunday or sooner if
conditions warrant.
