Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 2:45 AM PST Jan. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 4 am PST Monday...

* timing... heavy snow and strong gusty winds continue into early
Monday.

* Locations... Interstate 80 over Donner Pass, Highway 50 over
Echo Summit, Highway 88 over Carson Pass and Lassen Volcanic
National Park.

* Snow accumulations... 2 to 4 feet of snow above 4000 feet with 6
to 12 inches down to around 3000 feet. Local accumulations up to
6 feet possible across the higher elevations. Snowfall rates of
2 inches or more an hour at times.

* Main impacts... snow covered roads with chain controls and white
out conditions. Road closures possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and
water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Flood Warning
Issued: 2:06 PM PST Jan. 21, 2017 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Sacramento River at Tehama bridge.
* At 1:00 PM Saturday the stage was 213.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast to recede to near 211.5 ft near this midnight then
expected to rise above flood stage of 213.0 ft tomorrow morning
then forecast to rise to near 214.0 ft tomorrow afternoon.
* Flood stage 213.0 ft
* monitor stage 210.0 ft
* impact... near 214.0 feet, between two hundred thirteen and two
hundred fourteen feet the County park becomes inaccessible. At two
hundred forteen feet water begins to enter Driftwood RV fishing
resort on East Bank of river and just north of the County park.
* Impact... near 213.0 feet, flood stage - Road inside trailer park and
turn around site under rr tracks (tehama/Vina road) become
impassible. Water is into area around structures on east side of
river. No structural damage. Sheriff's office issues advisory.
Makes sure pelhams Bay, Snug Harbor, river inn (small trailer Parks
all in a row on east side of River North of bridge) know of
advisory.
* Impact... near 210.0 feet, water into RV park on east side of river.
Tires of trailers get wet.
