The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a

* flood advisory for...
northwestern Nemaha County in southeastern Nebraska...
south central Otoe County in southeastern Nebraska...

* until 1045 am CDT

* at 745 am CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in
northwestern Nemaha County due to thunderstorms. This has caused
some minor low land flooding at low water crossings. Up to two
inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Johnson, Talmage, Brock and Julian.

southwestern Page... central Nemaha... eastern Otoe and southeastern
Cass counties until 830 am CDT...

At 750 am CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles east of Talmage, or 26 miles west of Tarkio, moving northeast
at 20 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm. In addition, brief heavy rainfall is expected as well.

Locations impacted include...
Nebraska City, Shenandoah, Hamburg, Sidney, Peru, Farragut, Riverton,
Thurman, Randolph, Brownville, Imogene, Julian, Northboro, Camp
Catron, Waubonsie State Park and Brownville state Recreation Area.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 136 in Nebraska between mile markers 235 and 240.
Highway 2 in Nebraska between mile markers 499 and 508.
Highway 59 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 22.
Highway 75 in Nebraska between mile markers 33 and 54.
Interstate 29 between mile markers 1 and 17.
