... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 3 am Friday to 6 am MDT
Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and wind, which is in effect from 3 am
Friday to 6 am MDT Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer
in effect.

* Timing... rain will mix with snow and change over to snow Friday
morning and become heavy at times into Friday evening. The
higher elevations including Sinks Canyon will likely change to

am. This storm will be extremely elevation dependent and some of
the lowest elevations could change back and forth between rain
and snow several times on Friday.

* Snowfall... 10 to 15 inches in Lander with up to 2 feet in Sinks
Canyon State Park. Hudson will likely vary from 2 to 5 inches.

* Visibility and wind... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30
mph in open areas with visibilities under one half mile at
times.

* Main impact... travel may become difficult with snow covered
and snow packed roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

blowing snow are expected or occurring. This could make travel
very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel keep some food,
