... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Tuesday...

* locations... Orange and Putnam County in New York... and western
Passaic in New Jersey.

* Hazard types... snow and sleet... icing is also possible.

* Accumulations... 2 to 4 inches of snow. A trace to a couple of
hundredths of an inch of ice is possible as well.

* Timing... tonight.

* Impacts... snow covered roads... possibly icy as well. Wet snow
combined with strong winds could knock down trees limbs and
power lines.

* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Temperatures... in the low to mid 30s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

* Winds and seas... northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to
45 kt. Seas 3 to 6 feet.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means sustained winds or frequent gusts of 34 to
47 kt are expected or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale
conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It
is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience
seek safe Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
