Issued: 2:57 PM AKST Dec. 4, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 3 PM akst Monday...

* location... over St Lawrence Island.

* Visibility... one quarter mile or less at time.

* Winds... southeast gusting to 60 mph.

* Snow... with up to 4 inches accumulation.

* Timing... strong winds are now occuring and will continue through
Monday. When snow develops late this afternoon visibility will
rapidly fall to near zero and remain low through Monday. Winds
will decrease Monday afternoon and the visibility will start to
improve then.

* Impacts... visibility will be very poor and snow will
accumulate into drifts. Whiteout conditions should be
expected. Travel and outdoor activities will be difficult.

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions in
blowing snow with strong winds and very poor visibilities are
occurring or expected.
