... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 1245 am EDT for
northeastern Carter... northeastern Sullivan... Johnson and
southeastern Washington counties...

At 1109 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between three to six inches of
rain has fallen over the last two to three hours... with light
rainfall expected to continue through midnight. Flash flooding is
expected to occur... or may be already occurring!

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mountain City... Damascus... Konnarock... Laurel Bloomery... Doeville...
Neva and Shady Valley.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
