Special Statement
Issued: 9:56 PM CDT Apr. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Slick roads overnight as light snow continues and temps fall...

Lingering light snow overnight over northeast North Dakota and
northwest Minnesota will combine with subfreezing temperatures to
create slippery and slick Road and pavement surfaces right on
through the morning ride to work and school Thursday morning.

The wet nature of the snow and warm ground caused the snow to melt
as it fell during the daylight hours on Wednesday, but this has
changed with nightfall and now the snow will have an easier time
accumulating. Water left by earlier melting snow is and will
continue to freeze adding to the treacherous conditions.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use care when navigating
roadways and walkways until temperatures move above freezing on
Thursday.
