Special Statement
Issued: 9:23 AM EST Jan. 18, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog over interior parts of northern lower and eastern Upper
Michigan through midday...

Dense fog will continue over the interior parts of northern lower and
eastern Upper Michigan through midday. Visibility will be near zero
at times over the higher elevations. The dense fog should ease by
noon.

Damp conditions from fog and melted water on snow covered
and untreated surfaces and temperatures near freezing will result
in areas of black ice and very slippery conditions, more so
on secondary roads. Use caution while driving through this
morning, as icy spots from black ice are difficult to see.
