Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 11:28 PM CDT Jun. 26, 2017 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* small stream flood advisory for rapid rises for...
northeastern Bandera County in south central Texas...
southeastern Kerr County in south central Texas...
southwestern Gillespie County in south central Texas...
northwestern Kendall County in south central Texas...

* until 130 am CDT

* at 1124 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms across portions of Bandera, Kerr, Gillespie, and
Kendall counties. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Two to three inches of rain have already fallen in
this area and rain is likely to continue to fall for at least
another hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Medina, Kerrville, Comfort, Hunt, Ingram, Camp Verde, Waltonia,
Bankersmith, Cypress Creek, Kerrville State Park, Center Point,
Grapetown and Harper.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
