Issued: 1:33 PM MST Dec. 10, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST Sunday...

* timing... snow will develop this afternoon and continue through
Sunday. Periods of moderate to heavy snow will occur tonight and
early Sunday morning... then gradually taper off into the
afternoon.

* Total snow accumulations... 12 to 22 inches. Highest amounts will
fall over the higher west facing slopes.

* Winds/visibility... west to southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with
higher gusts will reduce visibilities to less than one quarter
mile at times in falling and blowing snow.

* Impacts... moderate to heavy snow and gusty winds will create
dangerous winter conditions for those venturing outdoors due
to poor visibilities and icy snow packed roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
