... Flash Flood Watch in effect from 1 am CDT Thursday through
late Thursday night...

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of western Kentucky...
including the following areas... Christian... Muhlenberg... Todd
and Trigg.

* From 1 am CDT Thursday through 1 am CDT Friday

* locally heavy rainfall amounts over 2 inches may occur in some
locations of the southern pennyrile region of western KY. Storms
will be capable of intense... locally heavy downpours overnight
tonight into Thursday evening.

* If a Flash Flood Warning is issued for your area... seek higher
ground and move away from flood prone areas immediately.
Otherwise you will likely put your life in danger. Never cross
a flooded roadway. Turn around... don't drown!

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
