Issued: 11:40 AM PST Feb. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM PST this
evening...

* snow accumulations... 1 to 2 inches, beginning by noontime.
Isolated totals up to three inches. Highest accumulations
above 300 feet in elevation. Lightest amounts near the water.

* Snow level... snow levels will drop to as low as sea level in
heavier snow showers.

* Some affected locations... I-5 corridor through western Whatcom
and Skagit counties. Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale, Mount
Vernon and other communities in western portions of the
counties. More significant impacts away from the water.

* Timing... snow will begin around noontime. Snow showers will
continue off an on through the afternoon and evening hours.

* Main impact... snow covered and slippery roads creating
hazardous driving conditions. Impacts and slow Downs for the
evening commute are possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
