... Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight CDT
tonight...

* event... a continued tightened pressure gradient across the
Southern Plains will result in southerly wind speeds this
afternoon of 15 to 20 mph, to persist through the evening
hours.

* Timing... sustained southerly wind speeds of 15 to 20 mph with
gusts nearing 30 mph will continue until near midnight, before
only subsiding slightly to 10 to 15 mph for the remainder of the
overnight hours.

* Impact... boaters should exercise caution on area lakes due to
rough chop conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
