... Winter Weather Advisory for snow in effect from 9 PM this
evening to 9 am akst Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 9 PM this
evening to 9 am akst Wednesday.

* Snow... 5 to 9 inches south of Clam Gulch and 3 to 5 inches
elsewhere.

* Visibility... one half mile or less at times.

* Timing... light snow will develop from south to north this
evening then become heavy at times overnight. The heaviest snow
will fall along Kachemak Bay northward to Ninilchik. Snow will
diminish during the mid to late morning hours on Wednesday.

* Impacts... travel may be difficult. Visibilities will be limited
in heavy snowfall.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
