... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 PM Thursday to 4 PM
PST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 6 PM Thursday
to 4 PM PST Saturday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in
effect.

* Locations... Leavenworth, Mazama, Twisp, Winthrop, Stehekin,
Conconully, Blewett Pass, and Loup Loup pass.

* Snow accumulations... for Thursday night and Friday snow
accumulations of 5 to 12 inches with the highest amounts near
the Cascade crest. An additional 4 to 9 inches possible Friday
night and Saturday with highest amounts again near the crest.

* Timing... light to moderate snow will develop Thursday night and
continue through at least Saturday afternoon.

* Impacts... hazardous travel can be expected due to snow covered
roads and reduced visibility.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
