Air Stagnation Advisory
Issued: 11:09 AM MST Jan. 15, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Air stagnation advisory remains in effect until 5 PM PST /6 PM
MST/ Monday...

* advisory... a ridge of high pressure will persist over all of
eastern Washington and north Idaho today through Monday. This
will result in very light winds and poor atmospheric mixing.
This will likely lead to increasing pollution levels near the
ground and deteriorating air quality.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An air stagnation advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an airmass across the advisory area... pollution has the
potential to increase to dangerous levels. Persons with
respiratory illness should follow their physicians advice for
dealing with high levels of air pollution.
