... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 5 am MST /4 am PST/
to 10 PM MST /9 PM PST/ Thursday...

* snow amounts... 2 to 4 inches in the valleys and 4 to 8 inches in
the mountains.

* Snow levels... valley floors... rising to around 5000 feet
Thursday evening.

* Timing... snow will begin Thursday morning and taper off Thursday
evening in the valleys. Snow will change over to rain below 5000
feet Thursday evening.

* Impacts... snow accumulation on roads will make driving
difficult... especially during the Thursday afternoon commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will primarily cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. Travel in the mountains and backcountry is not
recommended without proper equipment and adequate provisions.
