... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 am to 10 PM PST
Sunday above 5000 feet...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow... which is in effect
from 4 am to 10 PM PST Sunday.

* Snow accumulations... 6 to 10 inches... except for near Crater
Lake which will see 11 to 15 inches.

* Winds... west winds 20 to 30 mph.

* Elevation... 5500 feet at the onset... lowering to 4500 feet. The
greatest amounts will be above 5000 feet.

* Timing... snow will begin early in the morning with the heaviest
snowfall rates will be mid morning through early afternoon.

* Locations include... highways 58... 138... 230... 62 and 140 above
5000 feet. The greatest amounts will be in The Crater lake area.

* Impacts... strong winds combined with heavy snow rates will
reduce visibility. Road surfaces will be below freezing early
morning then may not start melting snow until early afternoon.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Use caution when traveling... especially in open
areas.

... High Wind Warning in effect from 1 PM to 7 PM PST Sunday...
... Wind Advisory in effect from 1 PM to 7 PM PST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Wind
Warning... which is in effect from 1 PM to 7 PM PST Sunday. A Wind
Advisory has also been issued. This Wind Advisory is in effect
from 1 PM to 7 PM PST Sunday.

* Winds... west winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 50 mph... except
for west winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph in the winter
rim to Summer Lake area.

* Timing... early afternoon into early evening.

* Locations include... far eastern Klamath County... most of Lake
County and the Warners in eastern Modoc. Highways most affected
will be highways 31... 395 and 140 in Oregon with the strongest
winds in the Summer Lake and Paisley areas.

* Impacts... strong west winds will cause hazardous driving
conditions... especially on north-south oriented roads near the
Paisley... Summer Lake areas. Snow will also begin to increase
around mid afternoon in northern portions of lake and Klamath
counties... with reduced visibilities possible at times.

The strongest winds are expected along Highway 31 between Paisley
and Silver Lake.
