The Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of southwest Oregon, including the following areas,
central Douglas County, Curry County coast, eastern Curry
County and Josephine County, and south central Oregon coast.

* Through late tonight

* the heaviest rain will occur along the South Coast and Coast
Range.

* Heavy rain combined with snow melt may cause small streams to
flood. Some roads may become flooded near streams.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

The National Weather Service in Medford has cancelled the Gale
Warning. A hazardous seas warning remains in effect until 10 PM
PST Tuesday.

* Seas... chaotic very steep wind wave dominated seas 16 to 20
feet. High long period west swell will make for dangerous bar
crossings this morning into early afternoon. Seas will subside
briefly tonight before increasing again Tuesday to 9 to 11 feet
at 9 seconds.

* Areas affected... all areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A hazardous seas warning means very steep and hazardous sea
conditions are imminent or occurring. Recreational boaters should
remain in port, or take shelter until waves subside. Commercial

port or taking shelter in port until hazardous seas subside.
