Issued: 10:16 PM PST Feb. 22, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 1 am PST Thursday
above 1500 feet...
... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Friday morning
through Saturday morning...

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until 1 am PST
Thursday.

* Additional snow accumulations... around an inch.

* Elevation... above 1500 feet. Snow levels will drop to around
1000 feet after midnight.

* Timing... showers will taper off to flurries tonight.

* Locations include... the Coos and Curry County coastal
mountains.

* Impacts... those traveling, working, or recreating above 1500
feet should expect significant snowfall that will reduce
visibilities to less than a half mile, at times, and will make
travel more difficult.

* Friday afternoon into Saturday morning... another storm could
bring significant snow accumulations to similar areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

* Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and
limited visibilities.

* See weather.Gov/Medford/cams for latest Road conditions.

* A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause travel difficulties.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow, sleet, or ice accumulations that may impact travel. Continue
to monitor the latest forecasts.
