Special Statement
Issued: 4:08 PM PDT Apr. 27, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Heavy showers with small hail and isolated lightning possible
for the rest of this afternoon...

At 4 PM PDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated some
heavier showers were developing near the Interstate 5 corridor and
Willamette Valley, tracking eastward into the Cascade foothills.
There have been several reports of locally heavy rain and small
hail this afternoon... generally pea size or smaller. An isolated
lightning strike or two cannot be ruled out from these heavier
showers. The heaviest shower activity will likely remain near and
east of Interstate 5, before showers decrease this evening.
