The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for Kauai and Niihau.

* Until 6 PM HST this evening

* the remnants of Fernanda are moving from east to west across
the area... bringing showers and a few thunderstorms... some of
which may contain heavy rainfall.

* Some of showers and thunderstorms could be heavy... leading to
rising streams and rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.

through the Monday evening high tide. Visit tidesandcurrents.NOAA.Gov
for more specific information about forecast astronomical tides
and water levels in your area.

Impacts of the King tides may include flooding of beaches that
are normally dry, salt water inundation of typically vulnerable
low-lying roads, docks, boat ramps and other coastal infrastructure.
The threat of coastal flooding will ease by Tuesday.
