... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am PST
Monday...

* timing: light snow will continue through early Monday morning.

* Snow accumulations: 2 to 6 inches, with up to 9 inches possible
near and west of Highway 89.

* Winds: southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph. Sierra ridge
gusts up to 85 mph.

* Tahoe wave heights: 2 to 4 feet. Highest waves along northern
and Eastern Shores.

* Impacts: snow and gusty winds may produce travel slow Downs,
chain controls, and periods of low visibility in blowing
snow. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
improve.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during
periods of high traffic volume including the Monday morning
commute. Be sure to allow extra time to reach your destination.
Leave extra space between vehicles since it takes longer to stop
on slick roadways.
